Lucy Chaudhuri is BBC Music Magazine’s Web Assistant, creating and optimising content for the website and occasionally contributing to the magazine in print. She also worked for the editorial team in 2015-16, before attending the University of Southampton and dipping into book publishing. Lucy’s main classical interests are contemporary choral music from composers such as Ola Gjeilo and Cecilia McDowall, and film scores from around the globe. Lucy is a mezzo-soprano and has been in high-quality amateur choirs since the age of ten, most recently singing for the Chapel Choir of Exeter College, Oxford, while completing a master’s degree. She is a clarinettist, saxophonist and pianist, and an avid theatregoer.
