Voting is now open for the BBC Music Magazine Awards 2014. The nominated recordings in our ninth annual Awards have been announced today, and now it's your chance to help choose – and reward – the best classical music recordings made in 2013.
'From ravishing Wagner to captivating Britten, this year's nominations are as fascinating and enticing as ever,' says Oliver Condy, BBC Music Magazine's editor, 'and the artistry is as exceptional as it's ever been.'
Our expert jury of critics has chosen 21 CDs in seven categories, whittled down from over 1,300 recordings reviewed by the magazine over the past year. As well as the Orchestral, Opera, Choral, Vocal, Instrumental and Chamber categories, we've introduced a new Concerto category to the line-up – thanks to the volume of first-class performances.
But who wins is up to you. Head to www.classical-music.com/awards to hear extracts from the nominated discs and cast your votes. All voters will be entered into a prize draw to win a Cambridge Audio hi-fi worth £900, a Cambridge Audio Minx Air 200 speaker worth £430, plus a copy of each of the nominated recordings.
Voting ends on 28 February 2014, so click here to have your say now!
